Job Description
At Vision Technology Development, we build enterprise software solutions that help organizations digitalize, automate, and optimize their business operations.
We are evolving the way enterprise applications are delivered by combining our Vision App Maker platform, AI-powered development tools, and intelligent assistants (AI Co-Pilots) to accelerate solution implementation.
We are looking for Application Configuration Developers (ACDs) who combine strong technical foundations with business process understanding and the ability to work effectively with AI-powered tools.
This is not a traditional software development role, nor is it simply a low-code configuration position. Your primary responsibility is not to write every configuration or script from scratch, but to understand what the application needs to accomplish, use AI tools to implement it efficiently, and validate that the result works correctly.
You will work closely with our Solution Delivery Consultants (SDCs), who define the overall solution design, to translate business requirements into functional enterprise applications. Using AI Co-Pilots, Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations, platform configuration tools, and your own technical expertise, you will build and adapt business workflows, interfaces, data models, business rules, and integrations.
We value people who understand both how business processes work and how enterprise applications are built, and who are ready to adopt a new, AI-assisted way of implementing software solutions.
How we work. At VISION, we combine business expertise, strong technical foundations, and AI-powered tools to deliver enterprise solutions. Every role contributes to this approach. Discover How We Deliver →
Responsibilities
Business Understanding & Solution Implementation
- understand business requirements, operational processes, and functional specifications, working closely with Solution Delivery Consultants to clarify implementation needs and expected outcomes
- translate business workflows, rules, and requirements into functional application configurations
- understand the business purpose behind each functionality, rather than simply executing isolated technical tasks
- collaborate with SDCs to clarify implementation details, identify dependencies, and validate the expected behavior of the solution
AI-Assisted Configuration & Development
- use AI-powered development assistants and Co-Pilots to generate, configure, modify, and extend application functionality
- work with AI tools connected to application platforms through MCP and APIs to accelerate implementation
- guide AI tools using structured instructions, business context, technical specifications, and clear acceptance criteria
- review, troubleshoot, refine, and validate AI-generated configurations, scripts, data structures, and integrations
- apply traditional development and configuration techniques when AI-generated outputs require manual adjustments or technical intervention
Enterprise Application Configuration
- configure and extend applications built on Vision App Maker and other enterprise platforms
- implement business workflows, forms, interfaces, validation rules, permissions, and business logic
- configure data models, database interactions, APIs, and integrations with external systems
- ensure application configurations remain secure, maintainable, reusable, and aligned with product standards
Quality, Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- perform functional validation and troubleshoot application behavior
- collaborate with Test Engineers during testing, UAT, and defect resolution
- document configurations and implementation decisions
- contribute to reusable configuration patterns and standardized solution components
- continuously explore new ways of using AI to improve implementation quality, productivity, and delivery efficiency
Requirements
We expect solid technical knowledge, even though much of the implementation work is increasingly performed with AI assistance.
Strong Technical Foundations
- good knowledge of relational databases and SQL, including data models, queries, relationships, and data validation
- solid understanding of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, including the ability to read, troubleshoot, and modify application scripts and user interfaces
- understanding of APIs, REST services, JSON, authentication, and system integrations
- familiarity with web application architecture, frontend/backend interactions, and application configuration principles
- ability to understand technical documentation, diagnose problems, and evaluate the correctness of generated solutions
- experience with BPM, low-code/no-code platforms, or enterprise application configuration is an advantage
Business & Analytical Thinking
- ability to understand business processes and translate operational requirements into application functionality
- understanding of workflows, business rules, data relationships, and user interactions
- ability to interpret functional specifications, user stories, process descriptions, and acceptance criteria
- strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- ability to recognize inconsistencies, missing requirements, or potential implementation issues
AI-Assisted Development Mindset
- practical familiarity with AI coding assistants, AI Co-Pilots, or AI-assisted development environments
- ability to formulate clear, structured instructions for AI tools and iteratively refine generated results
- understanding of how AI can support application configuration, scripting, integration, testing, and troubleshooting
- interest in MCP-based tools, AI agents, and AI-enabled enterprise application development
- critical thinking when evaluating AI-generated outputs, including awareness of security, data privacy, and technical limitations
- willingness to continuously learn and adopt new AI-enabled development workflows; hands-on experience with MCP-based configuration tools is an advantage, but not mandatory
Collaboration & Ownership
- ability to collaborate effectively with Solution Delivery Consultants, Test Engineers, Software Developers, and other technical specialists
- clear communication with both technical and business-oriented colleagues
- ownership of assigned implementation tasks, from understanding requirements through validation
- attention to detail, quality, and maintainability
- curiosity, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
You don't need to write everything manually, but you must understand the technology well enough to know whether an AI-generated implementation is correct.
What Makes This Role Different?
At VISION, we believe AI is fundamentally changing how enterprise software solutions are implemented.
Traditional application configuration requires developers to manually translate specifications into scripts, forms, workflows, and technical settings. Our approach is evolving toward AI-assisted, business-driven implementation, where technical professionals guide intelligent tools to generate and adapt functionality.
As an Application Configuration Developer, your value comes from your ability to:
- understand the business problem
- understand the technical environment
- guide AI tools toward the expected outcome
- validate and improve the generated implementation
- deliver reliable, reusable, enterprise-ready functionality
We are not looking for someone who simply writes code faster with AI. We are looking for someone who can use AI to turn business requirements into working software, while maintaining full technical understanding and control over the results.
